Kubrick suggestions
Since the seminar, the question arose, what could have inspired Kubrick, and not vice versa, here an article by Marcus Schmidt Hammer, which refers to a Russian film from the '50s. It refers mainly to this article by Mark Wade.

Brazilian Wax In Lowell
reviews
I have a little list of links to film reviews feed. Since we want to look at the next meeting on some reviews, can sometimes become browsed. A selection will follow soon (moodle).
Have fun!

How Long Does Mushrooms Remain Contagious
first Meeting - Introduction & Organizational
The first meeting has taken place successfully on Wednesday, with around 13 participants - a little less than expected / hoped for, but probably still more than usual project tutorials. After all, the interdisciplinary nature is preserved (if the composition remains so): almost half of the participants not studied cultural studies. Some other participants, who yesterday could not be there, have already announced, so hopefully the number will grow, or maybe it does.
There is something lost in the KVV (not to say, been ignored) that we assign performance records and a master module are assigned. If this is an incentive coupons can master advanced study and master program can be acquired. I hope to remain non-Kuwis us despite the lack of possibility to receive ticket purchase.
Anyway, it looks now as if our plan would be adopted and accepted been (at least has no complaints, despite repeated requests): The individual sessions will be moderated by the participants, it is not intended to advance the common prestigious film, nor read the text in the foreground. Rather, both, along with the "Host (-enteam)" recycled material, the basis of his discussion. Additional films are deposited for private viewing and can be taken.
Some issues are already half forgiven, their own ideas of the participants expressed and will soon be integrated into an updated weekly schedule. Vulnerabilities have been identified by us, as we have integrated no historical context. Also try I have to persuade my partner to ensure that we give a tiny introduction to film analysis. This may not be murder moderately interesting, but certainly a good possibility.
We have decided to write something in each session to the blog to get some kind of protocol at the end of the Projekttutorium. Participants are also encouraged to send us anything, what they find and have the option of essays that they write in the PT, to be published in the blog. If someone is particularly ambitious, he was invited as a blog co-author.
If all fun and interested, it will be a great tutorial :-)
